Every original Mary Kilpatrick painting is a one-of-a-kind object — acrylic and mixed media on canvas, often with real feathers, gemstones, and found materials embedded in the surface. Once it's gone, it's gone. Here's exactly how the process works, what protects you, and what to expect.
Payment is processed via PayPal or Square — both provide full buyer protection. You have recourse if anything goes wrong. Mary never receives payment until the transaction is confirmed. No wire transfers, no cash, no risk.
Every original ships via FedEx or UPS with declared value coverage and full tracking. You'll receive tracking the day it ships and can watch it move. Mary packs every painting herself — acid-free tissue, bubble wrap, rigid crating — the same standard used for gallery shipments.
Every original ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting the title, medium, dimensions, date, and Mary's signature. This travels with the painting and establishes its provenance — important for resale, insurance, and estate purposes.
Before your painting ships, Mary photographs it in detail — front, back, edges, any mixed media elements — and sends those images to you. You know exactly what you're receiving before it leaves the studio. No surprises on arrival.
If your painting arrives damaged in transit, Mary makes it right — period. Photograph the damage before opening the packaging fully, contact us within 48 hours, and we handle the claim and resolution. You will not be left holding a damaged painting.

Mary personally responds to every inquiry. She'll confirm the painting is available, answer your questions, and share any additional detail photos you'd like — specific angles, texture close-ups, how it looks under different lighting.
Paintings are held for 48 hours during active inquiry — not indefinitely. First to complete payment secures the work.
You'll receive an invoice via PayPal or Square. Both carry full buyer protection — you can dispute the charge if the painting doesn't arrive as described. Payment in full secures the work. No payment plan or deposit arrangements.
Accepted: all major credit cards via Square, or PayPal. Both provide buyer protection.
Before anything moves, Mary photographs the painting in full and sends you those images. She then packs it using gallery-standard materials — acid-free tissue, archival padding, bubble wrap, and a rigid outer crate appropriate for the size.
